What better way is there to get to know your
classmates than to interview them?
During this assignment, you will become a
reporter, interview a classmate, and learn many new things about him or her.
To complete this project, you will:
- Choose a classmate to interview.
- Ask your partner 10 questions, writing down their detailed answers to each question.
- Narrow your ideas: choose 3 questions/answers to use as the main ideas for the body paragraphs of your essay.
- Begin writing your rough draft, following the 5 paragraph essay organization style.
- Type your essay.
- Peer edit your partner’s essay.
- Revise, edit, and proofread your own essay.
- Prepare for a short presentation in which you will introduce your partner to the class by explaining the 3 main ideas in your essay.
- Present your partner and share the information you learned with the class!
