Informative Interviews, Book Covers, and Admiration Essay

The Hurricanes have been working hard in English class! This week, we concluded our Informative Interview Project, where students interviewed a classmate, wrote an informative 5 paragraph essay, then presented information gathered to the class. Students also designed a book cover for their English textbooks which are symbolic of their hobbies and interests and then presented them to the class.

This week, students are writing an essay about the people they admire most in their lives. After this essay assignment, we will be transitioning into our short story unit, discussing conflict, plot, and literary terms.

For Friday, students need to complete the book cover assignment and prepare for their informal interview presentation in which they will present their classmate and two of the items on their book covers..
