    Anne Frank Online Exhibit

    Check out this online exhibit created in partnership by the Anne Frank House and The Google Cultural Institute.

    Some of the special items in the online exhibit are:
    - the only moving images of Anne Frank;
    - a video extract in which Anne Frank’s childhood friend Hanneli Goslar speaks of her last meeting with Anne in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp
    - the last film images of Miep Gies, the helper of Anne Frank and the people in hiding with her, in the Anne Frank House as she places personal documents in a display case (which you can also see on www.youtube.com/annefrank);
    - photos from the Life Photo Collection of a group of American students visiting the Anne Frank House in 1961;
     - colour photos from the Life Photo Collection of the Nazi era in Germany and the invasion of the Netherlands by German troops in 1940

    Proofreading your TDA

    Complete each step below when you have finished typing!
    1. Did you add a creative title?
    2. Read through your essay, paragraph by paragraph.
    Introduction Paragraph
    1. Did you use an effective attention getter? (1/5 types)
    2. Does your thesis include the word positive or negative and list your 3 changes? If not, fix it now.
    3. Does your thesis say anything like "I will tell you" or "This paper will show you"If it does, fix it now.
    Body Paragraphs
    1. Your paragraph begins with a creative topic sentence that establishes the main idea.
    2. Your paragraph includes a direct quote with correct in-text citation in parentheses
    3. You used an introductory phrase before your quote.
    4. Your paragraph clearly provides examples and explanations
    5. Your concluding sentence brings the paragraph to a close without adding any new details.
    Conclusion Paragraph
    1. You restated the thesis without repeating it
    2. Your summarized the main ideas of your argument.
    Finally,
    1. Use Edit, Find - check for the words Iyou, and your.
    2. Check for misspelled words.
    3. Check for sentence fragments.
    4. Check for punctuation marks.
    5. Check for capitalization (especially quotes, titles, and names).
    If you finish these steps, see if someone else in class is finished and would like to exchange papers to run through the checklist again.
